Following trending rape allegations by Nigerian singer’s wife, Busola Dakolo against the Common Wealth of Zion (COZA) founder, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Nigerian actress and producer, Stella Damasus has come out to disclose how the underfire pastor also raped her friend.
Miss Damasus made the fresh allegation in a series of tweets on her official Twitter handle, @stelladamasus, on Friday night.
Elitempire earlier reported how Nigerian Singer Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola Dakolo called out Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the COZA church for raping her back in the days in an exclusive interview with media outfit, YNaija.
According to Mrs Dakolo, Pastor Biodun allegedly raped her when she was 17, under her parents‘ roof.
However, Pastor Biodun in an official statement denied the allegations and threatened to take legal actions against Busola and the news outfit.
In her tweet, Miss Damascus, who claimed that she just spoke with a friend of hers, described the alleged victim’s experience as “shocking.”
Wondering why people are expressing doubts over Busola’s allegation, Miss Damasus tweeted that her friend informed “people around” the pastor of the alleged rape “but they all suppressed it.”
“Some people have mastered the art of manipulation and brainwashing. It’s not easy to break free from that. God help and heal us.” She tweeted
Meanwhile, Nigerians are divided on the issue as many people, mostly COZA faithfuls defend Pastor Fatoyinbo, while many others stand firmly behind Busola, even offering to provide financial and legal backings if ever she intends to charge for justice.
Nigerian lawyer, Joe Abah, shared his thought on the matter via his twitter handle @DrJoeAbah.
He challenged the pastor to go ahead with his threat to litigate against Busola Dakolo as he assured his readiness to provide support for Busola if need be.
Abike Dabiri, a former aide to President Buhari and the Chairman Diaspora Affairs Commission also aired her support for the Dakolos.
