The People’s Democratic Party, PDP with its governorship flag bearer, Abba Kabir-Yusuf has finally won the Kano state gubernatorial elections.
PDP and Abba Kabir, despite been the opposition has dethroned the All Progressives Congress’ candidate and Incumbent governor of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje as they won the state’s governorship election.
The PDP candidate, who is also a son-in-law to Former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso polled a total of 1,014,353 votes across the 44 Local Government Areas in the state, to beat the incumbent governor, Ganduje who polled 987,819 votes.
With the win Kano, the People’s Democratic Party has increased the number of states they’ve won after securing victories in Imo, Taraba, Oyo, Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Delta states in this 2019 election.
