A fire outbreak have been confirmed this morning at the headquarters of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) in Abuja.
However, the Post Master General of the agency Mr Adebayo Adewusi said that there was no cause for alarm over the fire that gutted the Nigerian Postal service headquarters in Abuja early this morning.
An eyewitness said the fire incident occurred when a large number of staff of the agency were in their offices.
The agency’s CEO who confirmed the incident this morning, cleared the air on his Twitter handle after the incident, he said nobidy was harmed and he also praised the Fire service département and the Federal Capital fire department for their quick reponse in putting out the fire.
He also said that the fire only affected the office of the staff posting under the personal unit.
The NIPOST boss confirmed that the cause of the fire was unknown yet.
