Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has released another single ‘Opotoyi (Marlians)’ as he awaits the perfection of his bail condition, after recently getting out of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) net on bail.
Marley released his new single, ‘Opotoyi (Marlians)’ as a follow up to another track, WHY, which he released while in detention.
According to Naija News, this latest song is a street anthem that is expected to appeal greatly to Marley’s followers.
Meanwhile, the EFCC had filed 11 counts bordering on fraud and cybercrime against the ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ crooner, Marley, at the Federal High Court, Lagos.
But Marley pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The presiding judge of the Lagos Federal Hugh Court, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, ordered that the hip-hop star be remanded in the EFCC custody until Thursday, May 30, when the court would resume to hear his bail application.
In latest developments, however, the rapper has been granted bail by Justice Oweibo, following the commencement of his hearings and trial scheduled by the said High Court for the 22nd day of October 2019.
