There is ongoing jubilation in the streets of Mbaise as Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha wins the governorship race in Imo state.
The people of Mbaise have taken to the streets with jubilations and shouting to celebrate the victory of their illustrious son, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as he wins the 2019 Imo state gubernatorial election.
Rt. Hon Ihedioha’s victory marks the first time an Mbaise son and a son of Owerri zone is ascending to the top seat at Douglas house, since the inception of democracy in 19999. Indeed, Hon. Ihedioha’s victory is a long-awaited answer to the prayers of the people of Mbaise and Owerri zone.
Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha represented Aboh Mbaise and Ngor-Okpala federal constituency in the federal house of representatives for three terms of twelve years, from 2003 to 2015. He served as the Deputy Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria before stepping down to contest for the Imo Guber seat in 2015. He lost then to Incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha in a controversial election. Today, the patient Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has been declared the winner in the just concluded Imo Guber elections, realizing the dreams of many, in his native Mbaise, Owerri Zone and Imo state at large.
Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha hails from Aronta Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise L.G.A of Imo state.
