Imo State All Progressives Congress Women have issued a warning to the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole against coming to the state henceforth.
The Imo APC women issued this warning on Sunday after a protest which they held to oppose the suspension of the State’s Governor and APC leader, Owelle Rochas Okorocha by the party’s National Working Committee which was chaired by Oshiomole.
The Imo APC women reacting to this, conducted a protest to oppose the suspension and call for the resignation of the APC National Chairman, Oshiomole.
Speaking for the women, their leader Mrs Theresa Ohanuha condemned the actions of party chairman Oshiomole. She pointed out that the chairman’s actions were unconstitutional and contributed to the reasons that the party’s presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari recorded a low number of votes during the presidential elections. She cited that Oshiomole does not have the moral capacity to remain in the party’s leadership.
Mrs Ohanuha said that Oshiomole’s attack on Okorocha is unacceptable and born out of jealousy because Okorocha established the APC party singlehandedly in the South-East. She pointed out the President Buhari is not aware of the suspension and called on the president to caution Oshiomole.
“These actions of Oshiomhole negatively affected the outcome of the recent presidential election in Imo.” Mrs Ohanuha said
“The suspension of the Imo West senator-elect, Governor Rochas Okorocha, on the basis of anti-party activities is unacceptable.
“Oshiomhole is unnecessarily attacking Okorocha because of the jealousy that he single-handedly “built the party” in the South East.
“We are sure that Mr President is not aware of these events.
“We, the APC women in Imo State, respectfully appeal to Mr President to call Oshiomhole to order.
