Chief Sir Cosmas Ajonu John Odoemene Former controller of customs and father in-law to former Abia state governorship aspirant Alex Otti, has been laid to rest on this day 16th October, 2020.
Sir Cosmas Odoemene died on the 25th day of may, 2020, at the age of 81. He was born on the 17th of October 1939.
The burial mass was held at Sir Cosmas’ home parish, St Charles Catholic parish Ezuhu / Amadi Nguru, Aboh Mbaise, IMO state, where Rev. Fr Dr. Joseph Ezeji and Rev Fr. Vitus Tochi Umeyor are the Parish Priest and associate priest respectively. The mass is celebrated by Rev Fr Dr. Christian Paul Egege (son of the soil) and other Officiating priests.

The minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Mr Frank Nneji OON (founder, ABC transport) Son of the Soil, Ezinwa Sir Stanley Chiedoziem Amuchie (president, Good light Foundation), Knights of the Church and other Ministers, House members, Senators, SAs and host of dignitaries were present to bid Chief Cosmas good bye.
The Traditional ruler of the Autonomous Community, HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS, Eze James Nnamdi (Mirioma), Durujiaku Uboma (ii) of Nguru Nweke Autonomous community, His Ndi Nze, Ndi Chief and other traditional rulers in IMO State and other states were equally present to bid him farewell.
