With football activities suspended around the world due to the ravages of the deadly novel coronavirus disease, and amidst reports that football may likely be put on hold till as long as 2021, Manchester City and Argentine Star Sergio Aguero has gotten a new side job with the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC.
British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, announced that it has hired Aguero to host Spanish lessons for children during the coronavirus lockdown put in place around the world to forestall the spread of the deadly disease.
The program will be part of the BBC’s new homeschool service, BBC announced.
Speaking on the programme and his new job, the City all time Premier League top scorer and Argentine goal banger pointed out that the restriction of movements and closure of schools due to the lockdown is tough on children, he also accepted that the period is also a burdensome one for parents.
“It’s a tough time for children at the moment, and also for parents trying to keep them focused on their education from home,” Aguero said.
Aguero went ahead to praise the BBC for their initiative homeschool service, he described the idea as brilliant and also expressed his honor and pride to be part of such programme.
“The BBC are doing brilliant work to help and I’m honoured to be able to play a part.” He said.
